At IU, how do I connect to my account on the UITS Oracle database Oed1prd?

At Indiana University, you can connect to the UITS Oracle database Oed1prd from a Windows computer running the Oracle Client, from the IU Bloomington STCs, or from a Unix account on Quarry. See:

The Oracle database Oed1prd has two sample user accounts, HR and SCOTT. These accounts are configured so that they cannot be modified, but can be accessed for reading or copying. For more, see At IU, how do I use the sample account on the UITS Oracle database Oed1prd?
