In Windows, how can I get EndNote 9.0 to work with Microsoft Word?

You must install Word before you install EndNote 9.0. The add-in should install automatically.

A toolbar should appear in Word; if it does not, click View and then Toolbar. Check EndNote 9.

If you have installed EndNote but still have trouble with the toolbar or commands in Microsoft Word (Tools), refer to the following page:

http://www.endnote.com/support/faqs/CWYW/index.asp

To avoid incompatibility issues with EndNote 8 and Windows XP Service Pack 2 (SP2), upgrade to a later version of EndNote. You can download a current version from IUware.
