What is IU-Link, and how do I use it?

IU-Link, offered by the Indiana University Bloomington Libraries, speeds your research in library databases and indexes by eliminating the need to exit a database, log into IUCAT, and conduct individual searches for articles.

IU-Link streamlines information retrieval by seamlessly linking online full-text articles in more than 20,000 online journals to citations in the largest and most popular databases at the IUB Libraries.

To use IU-Link, you must be searching an index or database that supports it. For a current list, see:

http://www.libraries.iub.edu/index.php?pageId=1129

When you find an article that you wish to view, click the IU-Link button to see a full menu of options for accessing the full text of the article. When a full-text version is not available, you can go directly to IUCAT to see if IUB Libraries owns the journal or book, or you can request delivery of the item through interlibrary loan.

For more information and support, see the IU-Link FAQ at:

For help with using library electronic resources, see the Knowledge Base document Where can I learn how to use the IUB Libraries' electronic research resources?
