ARCHIVED: In Oncourse, how can I export a class roster?

UITS no longer supports original Oncourse. Existing course data from the fall 2005 through spring 2007 semesters will be available through August 2008. UITS recommends that faculty move their course content from original Oncourse to Oncourse CL, and export original Oncourse grades to an external file. For instructions on migrating course data to Oncourse CL, see Exporting content from original Oncourse to archive it or import it into Oncourse CL.

You can use the Export Class Roster tool in Oncourse to save your class roster, including email addresses, in a spreadsheet file on your computer. To use the Export Class Roster tool, follow these steps:

  1. Log into Oncourse.

  2. Under "My Courses", select a course from your Profile.

  3. Click the Tools tab.

  4. Under "Authoring Tools", click Authoring Tools.

  5. Click Export Class Roster.

  6. In the pop-up window that appears, choose Save to disk to save the file on your computer. The roster will be saved as a comma-delimited file.

  7. View the file using a spreadsheet application, such as Excel.
Note: Email addresses of students that have been manually added into the course will not appear in the rosters.
This is document apal in domains all and oncourse-h.
