At IU, what LISTSERV lists are available for GIS and remote sensing?

At Indiana University, UITS maintains three GIS-related LISTSERV lists:

Announcement-only lists
Announcements for GIS and remote sensing at IU  GIS-USERS-L  News, software updates, and notices concerning GIS and remote sensing for students, faculty, and staff at IU
Indiana Spatial Data Service news  ISDS_NEWS-L  System maintenance updates concerning ArcIMG and ArcSDE services
Indiana Spatial Data Portal news  ISDP_NEWS-L  Updates concerning spatial datasets available from the Indiana Spatial Data Portal and GIS-related news

Through these email lists, UITS distributes GIS and remote sensing news, software update notices, training announcements, and general user information. Although these lists are open to the public, they are intended for the use of IU students, faculty, staff, and affiliates.

Other notable IU LISTSERV lists related to GIS are:

  • CAMPUSMAPS-IUB-L: This is a discussion list for those interested in print and online maps of the IU Bloomington campus. The purpose of this list is to promote discussion and collaboration among stakeholders and organizations within IUB to address the diverse requirements of our campus maps.

  • GIS-DAY-L: This is a discussion list for those involved in planning and promoting GIS Day activities and related events at IU. See the GIS Day page for more information.

For help subscribing, see At IU, how do I subscribe to a LISTSERV list?

To see archives for a LISTSERV list, click its name at the LISTSERV Archives page. Messages are stored by month.
