Account re-enables for students

If you are an Indiana University student who stopped taking classes for two or more consecutive terms, your accounts may have been disabled. If your accounts are disabled but not yet deleted, and you are a returning student, the accounts will be re-enabled once the registrar term-activates you; registrar data is processed continuously during Student Center online hours. When your activation is confirmed, your accounts will be re-enabled automatically.

If your accounts were deleted, you will need to recreate them; see Create your first IU computing accounts (admitted students, faculty, staff, affiliates, and those returning to IU).

As a student, Affiliate status may be appropriate to temporarily extend your computing accounts, but it is granted only if it is necessary to complete or continue work with IU (for example, working on a thesis or dissertation, completing an Incomplete).

If you have additional questions or need assistance with your accounts, contact your campus Support Center.
