Using Oncourse Assignments, how do I post an assignment I previously saved as a draft?
Note: This information applies to the original Assignments tool in Oncourse, which is no longer available to add to sites; however, you can continue to use it in sites that had it before June 3, 2011. For new sites, use Assignments 2.
Note: To complete these procedures, you must be assigned a role having the necessary permissions. To determine your role, follow the directions in Participant roles. To view a list of permissions associated with a given role, see Permissions, roles, and tools. For a basic understanding of roles and permissions, see Permissions and roles: Overview.
To post an assignment you previously saved as a draft:
- In the menubar of the relevant
site, click
Assignments.
- The title of any draft assignment that belongs to you will have
the prefix "Draft". To open a draft, click its
title.
- Make any needed updates or changes to settings.
- To preview your draft before posting it, click
Preview. While previewing, to save your changes without posting, clickSave Draft. To cancel your changes, clickCancel.
- To post the assignment (i.e., to make it live), click
Post.
