In Oncourse, why can't I see my site?
You might not see your site displayed as a tab if you have more sites
than can be displayed across the top; click
- more - to access additional sites.
If your site is not visible either as a tab or from the drop-down
list, check the following possible causes.
If you can see some sites but not others
- If you have just added the course, see If I change my class schedule, when will my new courses appear in Oncourse?
- If you are an instructor for the course
but cannot access the course site, check the Faculty Center in OneStart for your classes. If you don't see
your class in the Faculty Center, you or your departmental scheduling
officer should contact the registrar's office to make sure you are listed as the faculty of record. Once
your status is updated with the registrar's office, it may take 24-48
hours for you to be added to the Oncourse site.
- Your instructor or the site owner may have unpublished the course site
in order to prepare for the upcoming semester or to make major
changes.
- When customizing your tabs, you may have accidentally hidden one of your sites; see Showing, hiding, and ordering sites.
-
Course sites are archived after eight semesters (counting summer as one semester). The archive takes place at least two weeks after the last campus begins classes. The next archive (of fall 2009 courses) will take place June 4, 2012.
If you cannot see any tabs for course or project sites
If you log in successfully, but can't see any tabs for course or project sites, you most likely have set your browser to use a reduced text size. To correct the problem, increase your browser's text size until the tabs are visible. See In Internet Explorer, Firefox, or Chrome, how can I control font size?
If you still can't see any tabs, contact your campus Support Center.
