Important:
Oncourse is retired. For details, see ARCHIVED: About the Oncourse retirement.

The Oncourse portfolio environment consists of a suite of tools (e.g., Matrices, Presentations, and Forms) that can be used to guide students through the process of creating learning, assessment, or presentation portfolios. The portfolio environment is highly customizable, with many different ways to implement a portfolio project. Using the tools effectively requires significant planning and training; however, multiple resources are available to help you.

To begin using the portfolio tools, request a portfolio site; see ARCHIVED: Requesting a site.

When you request a site, your campus teaching and learning center will be notified, and may contact you regarding consultation to acquaint you with the tools and how you can use them to meet your project goals.

Your new site will include a sample matrix in Matrices; you can either customize this matrix and publish it, or delete it. You'll find instructions for customizing the matrix in a document within your portfolio site's Resources.

You can also find instructions for most tools in the portfolio suite linked from ARCHIVED: Portfolio environment.
