How can I add or remove a user from an existing TeraGrid allocation?

Only a principal investigator can request that a user be added to, or removed from, a TeraGrid allocation. To do so:

  1. Log into the TeraGrid User Portal.

  2. On the My TeraGrid tab, select Add/Remove User.

  3. Complete the form. All fields are required, except for those marked "optional":

    • To add a user, complete steps 2-18 on the form.
    • To remove a user, complete steps 2, 3, 16, and 17 on the form.

Note: You must fill out one form for each person you are adding or removing.

  4. At the bottom, click Submit to review your submission.

Note: If you left any required fields blank, the application will notify you and allow you to fill in the necessary information. After you've done so, click Submit again.

  5. Review the information you provided. If it is correct, click Submit Request. If you need to make changes, at the top of the page, click Click here to return to the form.

If you added new users, they should expect to wait roughly three weeks from when you make your request to receive their account information packets, which will arrive via US Postal Service surface mail. The packets will contain their TeraGrid User Portal usernames and passwords. Via the User Portal, they can log into all resources on which they have accounts. For more, see the Getting Started Guide in the TeraGrid User Support documentation. For help, email  help@teragrid.org .

Note: New TeraGrid staff members who will be supporting users or maintaining a system can also request a roaming or specific account by completing the form above. The new staff member will need to fill in the principal investigator fields with the appropriate information for your group.
