Oncourse CL Official Final Grades tool: Overview

What it does

The Official Final Grades tool lets instructors or their proxies use a course site's gradebook to submit final course grades for all students. Only faculty of record and proxies are able to see the final grades gradebook.

Key concepts

Entering grades: You may enter grades into Official Final Grades manually, import grades from your Oncourse CL Gradebook, or import grades from a spreadsheet in .csv format.

Proxy: You may designate a proxy to submit final grades on your behalf. The proxy must have the role of instructor or assistant.

Things to consider

  • You may only import letter grades (e.g., A+, A, A-, B+, B).

  • After submitting the grades, you must contact the registrar directly to make any changes.

  • This tool works with course sites, but not project sites, since project sites will not have official grades.

  • The Official Final Grades tool does not appear in combined course sites. If you have a combined course site, you must navigate to each of your individual "registrar-based" sites (i.e., sections) to use the Official Final Grades tool. For more information, see Submitting final grades for combined course sites.
