About Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) exams

Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) exams enable you to certify your skills in Office applications using the only Microsoft-approved exams available. All exams are interactive and test your ability to accomplish discrete tasks by performing those tasks in live applications. This is a flexible and accurate way of assessing your skills. Exams are timed and last 45 to 60 minutes each. You must successfully pass an exam or exams in order to be certified as a Microsoft Office Specialist.

At Indiana University, IT Training offers MOS exams. For more, see Microsoft Office Specialist Certification (MOS).
