Where are STEPS workshops held, and what are my options for transportation and parking?

Note: Information in this document is divided by campus. If you are visiting the Bloomington campus from the Indianapolis campus or vice versa and have a parking permit from your home campus, see If I have a parking permit from one IU campus, can I park at another IU campus?

In order to park in spaces other than those that are metered or in pay lots, you must register your vehicle with the university. This regulation is in effect 24 hours a day.

Bloomington campus

Most Indiana University Bloomington STEPS workshops meet in the Herman B Wells Library at Tenth Street and Jordan Avenue, either in the Information Commons STEPS classroom or in room W302. Some workshops meet at the Wrubel Computing Center at Tenth Street and the State Road 46 Bypass.

Transit

Bloomington Transit's routes 6 and 9 serve both the Wells Library and the Wrubel Computing Center; for route information, see Bus Maps & Schedules. All IUB students, faculty, and staff may ride Bloomington Transit buses for free. Students use their student ID cards as a bus pass. Faculty and staff may request a free bus pass using this online form.

The Campus Bus system is free to all riders, and serves the Wells Library.

Parking

For a map with applicable IUB parking information, see Facilities Map and Directions.

If you do not have a permit, you may park in a campus pay lot or at a meter. To find the pay lot closest to your STEPS class location, refer to the lots marked with a  V  on the map displayed on the site above.

If you park in the Fee Lane parking garage to attend a STEPS workshop in the Wells Library, notify the workshop instructor, who will then stamp your ticket. This will keep your parking charge to $5 or less.

For more information, visit the IU Parking Operations web site.

Indianapolis campus

Most IUPUI STEPS workshops meet in room IT 127 or room IT 121 in the Informatics and Communications Technology Complex (ICTC). On the Facilities Map, the ICTC is circled, parking lots are noted by numbers, and buildings are noted by letters.

Transit

IUPUI operates a free shuttle service. Also, IUPUI students can get an S Pass to ride IndyGo anywhere in the city.

Parking

For a map with applicable IUPUI parking information, see Facilities Map and Directions.

Students may park in lots 71, 72, 73, 83, and 85. Faculty and staff may park in lots 71, 72, 73, 77, 81, 83, and 85. Visitors and patrons with disabilities may park in lot 38.

For more information, see the IUPUI Parking & Transportation Services web site.
