At IU, what is phpMyAdmin?

phpMyAdmin is a PHP application that provides a web-based interface for the administration of MySQL databases on Webserve, Indiana University's central web server. For more, see the MySQL Database User Guide for Webserve Account Owners.

You can access a customized version of phpMyAdmin on Webserve. After you enter a few lines of configuration information, you will be able to connect to your MySQL server on the MySQL database service host at mysql.iu.edu .
