How do I request a shared mailbox on Cyrus?
Indiana University no longer provides a Usenet server for accessing newsgroups. If you are an IU faculty or staff member, you can request a shared mailbox on the Cyrus mail system as an alternative to using a local (IU) newsgroup. If you are an IU student, you can request a shared mailbox if you have faculty or staff sponsorship.
If you are an IU faculty or staff member, send an email message to
ithelp@iu.edu to request a shared mailbox on
Cyrus. Include your full name, your Network ID username,
and a proposed name for your shared mailbox.
For a student request, a faculty or staff sponsor must send the email request on behalf of the student. Include the full name and Network ID username of the sponsor and the student, plus the proposed name for the mailbox.
