At IU, how can I view an online summary of my Exchange account's Junk E-mail settings?
Note: The spam quarantine service
analyzes all mail delivered to Indiana University
Cyrus/Webmail and Exchange accounts. Any spam
messages you receive are quarantined for five days in a
Spam (Cyrus/Webmail) or Junk E-mail
(IU Exchange) folder in your account. After five days, the spam service
deletes these messages automatically. For more, see At IU, what is the spam quarantine service?
Note: In Outlook 2003 and later, to use the client-side Junk E-mail Filter (in addition to the UITS spam filter) with an Exchange account, you must enable Cached Exchange Mode. See In Outlook, what is Cached Exchange Mode, and how do I enable or disable it? and Using Outlook 2003 and later, how can I control junk email?
To view an online summary of your Exchange account's Junk E-mail settings:
- Log into Outlook Web
App (OWA) with your Network ID username and
passphrase.
- At the top right, click
Options, and then clickSee All Options.
- From the menu on the left, click
Block or Allow. Here you can determine if Junk E-mail is enabled, and which addresses are on your Safe Senders and Recipients and Blocked Senders lists.
