When using htar with SDA, why am I getting a "hpss_WriteList error -116" message?

You may get this error message when using htar with the Scholarly Data Archive (SDA): "hpss_WriteList error -116". This error occurs when you are using a network interface with a private IP address for data transfer. As a workaround, try setting the environment variable HPSS_HOSTNAME to the non-private IP address of a network interface on the client computer.
