How do I charge my work on Big Red at IU to my TeraGrid allocation?

Note: Indiana University will retire Big Red from the TeraGrid July 31, 2011. After that date, TeraGrid accounts will no longer be able to submit jobs, all TeraGrid allocations on Big Red will be invalid, and access to Big Red via the TeraGrid User Portal will be disabled. Access via SSH keys or GSI-SSH for TeraGrid users will remain enabled for another three months. All data stored in TeraGrid accounts on Big Red should be backed up prior to October 31, 2011.

For jobs you run on Big Red to be successfully charged to your TeraGrid allocation, you must add the account_no statement to your job submission scripts. Jobs without an account number will be automatically rejected. Following is an example:

# Charge this job to my TG allocation #@ account_no = TG-STAXXXXXXX

To find your TeraGrid account number, use:

tgusage -u username

Replace username with your username.
