At IU, how can former students access bills, transcripts, and other university information?

When you graduate from or leave Indiana University, UITS disables your computing accounts. This will happen roughly two semesters after your last semester at IU; see At IU, what happens to my student computing accounts when I leave the university, transfer to another campus, or study abroad?

After your accounts have been disabled, your ADS domain account will remain active for up to five years. You will be able to use this account to access OneStart and Self-Service features such as your bursar bill, unofficial transcripts, and financial aid information. However, you will not be able to use this account to access other online university services (e.g., STC computers, VPN, email, dial-up).

If you do not have an IU username, you will need to create one for OneStart access; see What is an IU username and how do I get one? To create an IU username, on the OneStart page, click Don't have an account?, and then follow the instructions to create your username. You will need to know your 10-digit University ID number. If you do not know your UID, contact the registrar on your campus; see How do I contact the Office of the Registrar at each IU campus?

If you do have an IU username, but you have problems logging in, you might need to reset your passphrase. See At IU, how do I reset my Network ID passphrase?

Note: As a former student or alumnus, you will not have access to your IU-administered email account; these email accounts are disabled with the rest of your university accounts. Imail and Umail accounts, however, are not disabled, and you can keep these accounts after leaving IU. For more information, see How do I retain an IU-sponsored email account after graduation?
