ARCHIVED: At IU, how can I use my BlackBerry with a Mac?

To use your BlackBerry with a Mac, you need BlackBerry Desktop Manager, available for download from IUware to Indiana University students, faculty, and staff. To download and install BlackBerry Desktop Manager 1.0.2:

  1. Log into your computer as an administrator.

  2. Visit IUware at: http://iuware.iu.edu/
  3. Click Communication, and on the next screen that appears, click BlackBerry Desktop Software.

  4. Click BlackBerry Desktop Manager 1.0.2.

  5. If you are not already logged into Central Authentication Service (CAS), click Login, and then log in with your IU Network ID. Click Download.

  6. If you get the following message, click Continue : 'BlackBerry Desktop Manager.dmg' contains an application. Are you sure you want to continue downloading 'BlackBerry Desktop Manager.dmg'?
  7. Double-click the .dmg file to open it, and then double-click the green icon.

  8. If prompted, enter your BlackBerry password.

  9. Click Continue to begin the installation.

  10. Read the license agreement, and then click Continue.

  11. Click Agree, and then click Install.

  12. To restart your computer after the installation is complete, click Continue.

  13. Click OK to create an alias on your desktop for BlackBerry Desktop Manager.

  14. When prompted to install support for Lotus Notes, click No.

  15. Once the installation finishes, restart your computer.
