ARCHIVED: At IU, how can I use my BlackBerry with a Mac?
To use your BlackBerry with a Mac, you need BlackBerry Desktop Manager, available for download from IUware to Indiana University students, faculty, and staff. To download and install BlackBerry Desktop Manager 1.0.2:
- Log into your computer as an administrator.
- Visit IUware at: http://iuware.iu.edu/
- Click
Communication, and on the next screen that appears, clickBlackBerry Desktop Software.
- Click
BlackBerry Desktop Manager 1.0.2.
- If you are not already logged into Central Authentication
Service (CAS), click
Login, and then log in with your IU Network ID. ClickDownload.
- If you get the following message, click
Continue: 'BlackBerry Desktop Manager.dmg' contains an application. Are you sure you want to continue downloading 'BlackBerry Desktop Manager.dmg'? - Double-click the
.dmgfile to open it, and then double-click the green icon.
- If prompted, enter your BlackBerry password.
- Click
Continueto begin the installation.
- Read the license agreement, and then click
Continue.
- Click
Agree, and then clickInstall.
- To restart your computer after the installation is complete,
click
Continue.
- Click
OKto create an alias on your desktop for BlackBerry Desktop Manager.
- When prompted to install support for Lotus Notes, click
No.
- Once the installation finishes, restart your computer.
