ARCHIVED: About mobile devices and DST
Note: When Daylight Saving Time (DST) took effect in Indiana in 2006, most mobile devices had to be updated or patched in order to display the correct time. Because DST began on a different date in 2007, many devices needed to be re-patched at that time. As of 2008, Windows Mobile is the only mobile operating system requiring a software patch. All other devices, provided they were successfully updated the previous year, should not require a software patch. However, if your device was manufactured prior to mid-2007 and has been reset to the factory default, you may need to reinstall the DST patch.
