ARCHIVED: In iTunes, how do I edit track metadata?

To edit the metadata for a single track (e.g., a song or podcast episode):

  1. Select the track you want to edit.
  2. Click File and then Get Info. Alternatively, in Mac OS X, use Command-i.
  3. From the box that appears, select the Info tab.
  4. Edit any fields you wish. Then click OK.

To edit the metadata for multiple tracks (e.g., all the tracks on an album):

  1. Select the tracks you wish to edit. (In Mac OS X, hold down Command while making your selections. In Windows, hold down Ctrl while making your selections.)
  2. Click File and then Get Info.
  3. From the "Multiple Item Information" box, make any edits you wish. Then click OK.
