In iTunes, how do I edit track metadata?

To edit the metadata for a single track (e.g., a song or podcast episode), complete the following steps:

  1. Select the track you want to edit.

  2. Click File and then Get Info. Alternatively, in Mac OS X, use Cmd-i .

  3. From the box that appears, select the Info tab.

  4. Edit any fields you wish. Then click OK.

To edit the metadata for multiple tracks (e.g., all the tracks on an album), complete the following steps:

  1. Select the tracks you wish to edit. (In Mac OS and Mac OS X, hold down Cmd while making your selections. In Windows, hold down Ctrl while making your selections.)

  2. Click File and then Get Info. Alternatively, in a Mac OS X, use Cmd-i .

  3. From the "Multiple Item Information" box that appears, make any edits you wish. Then click OK.
