STC Extended Services Locations at IUB

While the Indiana University Bloomington Student Technology Centers (STCs) each offer a wide range of services, from time to time students need services not generally available in the STCs. To address these needs, the STCs maintain two Extended Services Locations (ESLs).

These ESLs are conveniently located in the Information Commons of the Wells Library and in the Indiana Memorial Union, and offer consulting support for a variety of printing and scanning services, including:

• Graphics scanning
• Text scanning, with optical character recognition (OCR)
• Special form printing (available only during staffing hours)
  • Legal-sized
  • Printing on user-supplied special paper (e.g. dissertation printing)
• Color printing
• Color plotting

Note: You may not print on labels, envelopes, or transparencies in any STC, as they can damage the printers.

• Information Commons (open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week; call 812-855-3802 for assistance)

If you anticipate needing special assistance, UITS recommends that you visit the Information Commons for these extended services.
