STC Extended Services Locations at IUB
While the Indiana University Bloomington Student Technology Centers (STCs) each offer a wide range of services, from time to time students need services not generally available in the STCs. To address these needs, the STCs have established a number of Extended Services Locations (ESLs).
Formerly known as Special I/O Facilities, the ESLs are conveniently located around the IUB campus and offer consulting support for a variety of printing and scanning services, including:
- Graphics scanning
- Text scanning, with optical character recognition (OCR)
- Special form printing (user-supplied)
- legal-sized
- envelopes
- special paper
- other special forms
- Color printing
- Color plotting (in some locations)
- Printing of 50+ pages per job (see In the IUB STCs and RTCs, how can I print long laser printing jobs?)
Note: You may not print on labels or transparencies in any STC, as they can damage the printers.
In addition, rarely used legacy services that have been retired from the STCs are also offered for a limited time in some ESLs.
