Using Oncourse CL Announcements, how can I control the order of announcements on my site's Home page?

To control the order in which announcements are displayed on your site's Home page (under "Recent Announcements"):

  1. In Announcements, click Options, and under "Display Options", select List view with announcement body. You can also use the provided drop-down list (next to "Characters in body") to change how much of the announcement body is displayed (e.g., All, First Line, or First Two Lines). Then, click Update to save your changes.

  2. Set a beginning date for each announcement. You can set the beginning date when you first create an announcement, or you can add a beginning date to an existing announcement by editing it; see Adding, editing, or deleting an announcement.

Using this method will force the "Recent Announcements" area on your site's Home page to display your announcements in date-descending order (i.e., the announcement with the most recent beginning date at the top), and will prevent participants from being able to change the display order.
