At Indiana University, to set up Exchange ActiveSync on your device running Windows Mobile 6 or 6.1:
Windows Mobile 6 or 6.1 Standard
- Open the ActiveSync application on the device.
- Press , and then select .
- In the "Server Address" field, enter
www.exchange.iu.edu
. - Check , and then press .
- Enter your IU Network ID and domain (ADS), and then press .
- Choose the items you wish to sync wirelessly.
- Press
The device will automatically try to synchronize with your Exchange account, and you will see:
Users will be alerted that the Exchange server www.exchange.iu.edu must enforce security policies on your device to continue synchronizing. Do you wish to continue?

Windows Mobile 6 or 6.1 Professional
- Open the ActiveSync application from the menu.
- If this is the first time you have set up a connection on the
device, a screen may appear explaining that this device has the
ability to sync directly with your company's Exchange server. On this
screen, click
If you have already set up an account on your device, from the
button at the bottom of the screen, choose or . .
- In the "Server Address" field, enter
www.exchange.iu.edu
and press . Leave the box checked that indicates that the server requires an encrypted (SSL) connection. - Enter your IU Network ID and domain (ADS). Leave checked, and then press .
- Select the information you wish to sync wirelessly with the
Exchange server, and then press
Users will be alerted that the Exchange server www.exchange.iu.edu must enforce security policies on your device to continue synchronizing. Do you wish to continue?

Note:
IU allows Exchange partnerships with up to 10 mobile devices. If you experience issues setting up an Exchange account on your mobile device, you may want to verify how many devices you have partnered with Exchange; see Manage your Exchange ActiveSync device in Outlook on the web.
