In ePortfolio, how do I provide feedback in a wizard?
As a member of an ePortfolio site, you may be asked to give someone formative feedback (i.e., a review before the work is submitted for final evaluation) on all or part of a wizard. Whether you are providing peer review (e.g., student-to-student) or instructor/advisor-to-student review, the basic procedure is the same.
Note: To complete the procedures in this document, you must be assigned a role having the necessary permissions. To determine your role, follow the directions in Participant roles. To view a list of permissions associated with a given role, see Permissions, roles, and tools. For a basic understanding of roles and permissions, see Permissions and roles: Overview.
To provide feedback in a wizard:
- In the menubar of the appropriate worksite, click
Wizards.
- Click the name of the wizard you wish to open, and then select the
name of the person for whom you will be providing feedback from the
drop-down menu at the top of the page. Verify that you are viewing the
correct participant's wizard before proceeding (the name of the
participant should appear in a message like "Viewing the READ ONLY
Wizard of Firstname Lastname" to the right of the wizard title).
- Navigate to the appropriate page. In a step-by-step wizard, use
Continueto reach the page you need. In an outline wizard, click the title of the page you need to review.
- Click the names of any forms, items, and reflections to open
and review them.
- To provide general feedback, in the "General Feedback" area, click
Add Feedbackto open the Feedback form. To offer feedback on a specific item in the "Items" area, clickAdd Feedbacknext to the item to open the Feedback form for that item.
- Fill in the form according to any instructions given in it. You
may type your feedback directly into the text box, or copy and paste
text from another document.
- When you are finished adding feedback, click
Save Changesto return to the wizard page. To return to the wizard page without saving your changes, clickCancel.
Note: ePortfolio does not currently provide any indication that feedback has been added to a wizard page. You may wish to email participants to let them know you have done so.
