Access a shared Outlook Inbox or Calendar in Outlook on the web

Before you can access another account's Outlook inbox or calendar in Outlook on the web, the owner of the account whose inbox or calendar you would like to see must grant you permission to see it.

Note:
This Outlook on the web feature does not work with the Light interface of Outlook on the web.

To use Outlook on the web to access someone else's Inbox:

  1. Log into Outlook on the web.
  2. In the upper left corner, click your profile picture; if you have not added one, click your initials. Choose Open another mailbox.
  3. Type the full primary email address of the account you would like to access (if more than one account appears in the results, choose the account that you would like to access). Click Open.... You should now be able to see the other person's Inbox.

To use Outlook on the web to access someone else's calendar:

  1. Log into Outlook on the web.
  2. In the upper right, close to your name, click Calendar.
  3. On the left, click the calendar icon, and select Add calendar.
  4. Under Add from directory:, and type the full primary email address of the account you'd like to access. Under "Add to", choose where you'd like to put the calendar, and then click OK. You should be able to view the calendar.
