In ePortfolio, how do I assign an evaluator to a wizard page?

Although it's possible to evaluate the artifacts and reflections in a wizard page by opening the wizard and navigating to the desired page, the Evaluations tool offers the most efficient means for evaluating student portfolio work. In order to take advantage of the Evaluations tool, however, each evaluator must be explicitly assigned to the page(s) he or she is expected to evaluate.

Note: To complete the procedures in this document, you must be assigned a role having the necessary permissions. To determine your role, follow the directions in Participant roles. To view a list of permissions associated with a given role, see Permissions, roles, and tools. For a basic understanding of roles and permissions, see Permissions and roles: Overview.

To assign an evaluator (or group of evaluators) to a page:

  1. Go to the appropriate worksite and open the Wizards tool.

  2. Locate the desired wizard on the Manage Wizards page, and then click Edit.

  3. On the Step 1 of 3: Begin page, click Continue.

  4. You can assign evaluators to the main (or top-level) wizard page as well as any of its subpages:

    • To assign an evaluator to the main page, click Select Evaluators (or Add/drop Evaluators if some evaluators have already been assigned) on the Step 2 of 3: Add wizard support page.
    • To assign an evaluator to a subpage, click Continue to advance to Step 3 of 3: Add wizard pages. Then, click Edit for the page where the evaluators will be added. When the Edit Wizard Page Settings page opens, click Select Evaluators.

  5. You can select evaluators by role or by name. If you select a role, all site members in that role will become designated evaluators for the page and see page submissions in their Evaluations tool. Select the role(s) and/or name(s) of the individuals who will serve as evaluators for the page, and then click Add.

Note: To select more than one role and/or name at a time, hold the Ctrl key down while making your selections.

  6. When you are finished selecting evaluators for the page, click Save.

  7. If you are adding evaluators to the main page, click Finish. If you are adding evaluators to subpages, click Save Changes.
