ARCHIVED: How do I use Live Meeting from outside of IU?

As part of the UniCom service at Indiana University, you can use Live Meeting from remote locations as well as on campus. Using Live Meeting from outside of IU does not require a VPN connection.

If you are using a computer that is not joined to the ADS domain:

  1. After starting Live Meeting, click the downward arrow in the upper left and select Open User Accounts.
  2. In the User Accounts window, enter your email address as the Sign-in name, and then click Advanced.
  3. In the Advanced Connection Settings window, check Use the following user name and password. Next to "User name:", type ads\username, replacing username with your Network ID username. Next to "Password:", type your Network ID passphrase; click OK.
  4. Click Test Connection. If successful, you will receive the following notice: "Your Live Meeting login information was successfully verified."
  5. Click OK twice. You are now ready to use Live Meeting.
