ARCHIVED: Using UniCom at IU, how can I make a call that requires an authorization code or uses a voice menu?
At Indiana University, the Office Communicator client for Windows no longer works with the UniCom service. Windows users should download the new Lync client instead. See About the UniCom Lync deployment.
This document applies only to UniCom Enterprise Voice; UniCom Basic users can make calls through Office Communicator only to other UniCom users.
You can use Office Communicator to call a long-distance number that requires you to enter an authorization code, or to enter numbers to indicate selections from a voice menu. Enter the numbers on your computer keyboard or your UniCom-optimized phone when prompted, or when you hear a dial tone if calling long distance.
You can also copy and paste numbers into the Dial pad; click the Dial
pad button ( ![]() Conversation window. |
For more information on making calls in Office Communicator, see Microsoft's Making and Receiving Audio Calls.
