At IU, how do I reset my vendor password for Imail or Umail?
The password or passphrase you use to access your
Imail or Umail account depends on how you reach
your account: You may use your IU Network ID passphrase to
access your email if you sign in through OneStart,
https://imail.iu.edu/, or
https://umail.iu.edu/. However, you may also access
your email (and additional, advanced features) via the vendors'
portals using your vendor password.
If you have forgotten your Imail or Umail vendor password, you can reset it using your IU Network ID. Resetting your vendor password will not affect your IU Network ID.
To reset your vendor's password:
- For Imail, go to
https://imail.iu.edu/.
For Umail, go tohttps://umail.iu.edu/.
- Below the
loginbutton, clickSet your password here to use advanced features (CAS login required). If prompted, log into CAS using your IU Network ID.
- You should see a new page displaying vendor-specific password
complexity requirements. Enter your new vendor password in each of
the two boxes provided, and then click
Set Password.
- A confirmation page will display "Password changed successfully."
