What is IU Secure?
IU Secure is the wireless network for students, faculty, and staff to access on all campuses. IU Secure uses WPA2 Enterprise (Wi-Fi Protected Access) for authentication; no VPN is needed.
For details about connecting to IU Secure, see the appropriate document for your operating system or device:
- Windows Vista and XP
- Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) and Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
- Mac OS X 10.4 (Tiger)
- iPhone and iPod touch
- Linux
- Windows Mobile 6 or 5
Note: As of January 1, 2010, you must register the MAC address of any new devices before they connect to the IU Secure network. Those that connected to IU Secure during fall semester 2009 will be grandfathered into the DHCP database, however, and will not need to register. For more, see At IUB and IUPUI, how do I register my computer?
