Which web browsers should I use with various IU services?

Online services at Indiana University work with most modern browsers in Windows and Mac OS X. However, some browsers more fully support advanced features such as JavaScript, and thus are preferable.

Note: UITS recommends upgrading to the latest browser versions; you can download the most recent versions of UITS-supported browsers from IUware.

The following table lists the minimum version of each fully supported browser for various IU services. Other versions and browsers (e.g., SeaMonkey, Opera) may work with these systems, but their use is not supported and some features may not be available. Also, the best choice for one particular service may not be optimal for others; consider installing more than one browser on your computer for such situations.

  Windows Mac OS X Unix/Linux
Firefox Internet Explorer Google Chrome Firefox Safari Google Chrome Firefox Google Chrome
