What is Microsoft DreamSpark, and how do I access it at IU?
The Microsoft DreamSpark program allows students anywhere to download professional-grade development and design tools at no charge. To access DreamSpark at Indiana University:
- Visit Microsoft
DreamSpark.
- Near the top, click
Sign In.
- If you have an Imail account, you can use
username@imail.iu.eduas your Windows Live ID by replacingusernamewith your IU Network ID username.
Note: If you do not have a Windows Live ID, clickSign Upon the login screen, and then follow the instructions to create one. Alternatively, if you are eligible for an Imail account but have not yet created one, see At IU, if I already have some computing accounts, how do I get others? Once your Imail account is created, you can sign in using the instructions above.
- From the drop-down menu under "Step 2: Select your country",
choose
United States, and then in the list below "Step 3: Select your school/organization", clickIndiana University. ClickSelect and Continue.
- If prompted, authenticate with your Network ID credentials.
After verifying your student status, you can freely download any of the software available from DreamSpark.
