Login is for authorized groups (e.g., UITS, OVPIT, and TCC) that need access to specialized Knowledge Base documents. Otherwise, simply use the Knowledge Base without logging in.

In Oncourse, how do I import or export a glossary?

You can export a glossary as a .zip file to archive it or import it into another site.

To export a glossary:

  1. From the menubar, choose Glossary.

  2. On the main Glossary page, click Export.

  3. You will be prompted to save or open the file. Remember the file's name and location if you wish to import the glossary later. The file will be saved as a .zip file.

    Note: Glossary files themselves are .xml files.

To import a glossary:

  1. From the menubar, choose Glossary.

  2. On the main Glossary page, click Import.

  3. Next to Selected Item, click Select file.

  4. If the file you wish to import is already in your Resources, click Select to the right of the filename.

    Note: If you don't see the file in your site's Resources, click Show other sites.

  5. If the file you wish to import is on the local computer:

    1. From the Add menu next to the appropriate folder, choose Upload Files.
    2. Next to "File to Upload", click Browse, and browse to the appropriate file.
    3. Select the file. You can either choose to Add Another File or Upload Files Now.

  6. Click Continue at the bottom of the page to import the file.

  7. Under "When a term being imported exists", choose either Replace the existing term with the importing term or Ignore the importing term.

  8. Click Import. You will see a message informing you that the import was successful.
