In Oncourse, how do I import or export a glossary?
You can export a glossary as a .zip file to archive it or
import it into another site.
To export a glossary:
- From the menubar, choose
Glossary.
- On the main Glossary page, click
Export.
- You will be prompted to save or open the file. Remember the
file's name and location if you wish to import the glossary
later. The file will be saved as a
.zipfile.Note: Glossary files themselves are
.xmlfiles.
To import a glossary:
- From the menubar, choose
Glossary.
- On the main Glossary page, click
Import.
- Next to
Selected Item, clickSelect file.
- If the file you wish to import is already in your Resources,
click
Selectto the right of the filename.Note: If you don't see the file in your site's Resources, click
Show other sites. - If the file you wish to import is on the local computer:
- From the
Addmenu next to the appropriate folder, chooseUpload Files. - Next to "File to Upload", click
Browse, and browse to the appropriate file. - Select the file. You can either choose to
Add Another FileorUpload Files Now.
- From the
- Click
Continueat the bottom of the page to import the file.
- Under "When a term being imported exists", choose either
Replace the existing term with the importing termorIgnore the importing term.
- Click
Import. You will see a message informing you that the import was successful.
