Past Oncourse changes and enhancements

The following changes to Oncourse are available as of May 14, 2011. For background information about the Oncourse enhancement and development process, see Oncourse Enhancement and Development Process and Oncourse Enhancements Status.

Oncourse was upgraded to Sakai 2.7, involving performance enhancements throughout the application.
Assignments 2 was integrated with portfolio evaluations.
In Email Archive, the site owner is now able to choose whether replies go to the original sender, or to the email archive address.
The new Profile 2 Beta tool is available to all users in My Workspace. However, the original Profile tool continues to provide information to the Roster.
Site Setup now allows site owners to set an easy-to-remember alias to stand in for the auto-generated site ID. This may be particularly useful for project and portfolio sites.
A new version of the Site Stats tool now shows more detailed information about site activity to instructors and site owners.
In Tests & Surveys Beta:
- Instructors can now see a log of all class exam activity for a specific student.
- Instructors now have an easy way to grade all ungraded items.
- The utility for migrating assessments from Original Test and Survey was improved.

Tests & Surveys Beta now includes a log of student testing activity; see Tests & Surveys: Student submission log.

The following changes to Oncourse are available as of January 3, 2011.

In Assignments 2:
- Events are tracked in Site Stats.
- For gradebook items linked to a single assignment, changes are synchronized. (For gradebook items linked to multiple assignments, you still need to edit all items separately.)
Forums now displays dates on unread messages correctly in thread view.
Gradebook no longer generates an error when importing gradebook items from a spreadsheet into a gradebook with the Drop Highest, Drop Lowest, or Keep Highest options enabled.
In Messages:
- Messages forwarded to email now retain links to attachments.
- The previous message body no longer displays when replying to a reply.
Changes to Tests & Surveys Beta include:
- Improved functionality for migration from Original Test and Survey
- Changes to display of Statistics for clarity
