ARCHIVED: In Oncourse CL, how can I get notifications of new messages via email?

You can set the Messages tool to automatically forward a copy of your messages to an email address of your choice:

1. In each site for which you want email notification, click Messages in the menubar, and then click Settings.
   
   
2. Next to "Auto Forward Messages", click Yes. Type the desired email address in the text box provided, and then click Save Settings.

No email notification option exists for the Forums tool.

Note: You cannot reply to Messages from the forwarded email messages; to reply, go to the Messages tool in your site.

Note: IU Webmail users may have difficulty reading messages sent from Messages to their email addresses. In Webmail, an Oncourse message will appear as a link labeled unnamed that you must click to read the message text.
