Software for students, faculty, and staff
Much of the Microsoft software available to IU students, faculty, and staff through the IU/Microsoft Campus Agreement can be downloaded and installed at no cost from IUware. Additionally, many Microsoft applications are available for use (at no cost) through IU's client virtualization (CV) service, IUanyWare. For more, see:
Alternatively, IU students, faculty, and staff can purchase software media covered by the IU/Microsoft Campus Agreement at various locations, depending on the campus:
All campuses: Campus bookstores; contact your campus bookstore for information about
IU Bloomington: Wells Library Information
Commons; go to the UITS Support Center walk-in office to purchase software
- IUPUI: Ruth Lilly Medical Library
Note: To purchase software media, you must present a valid IU identification card, and sign the Microsoft user agreement. All software media purchases under the IU/Microsoft Campus Agreement are non-refundable. You cannot trade one version for another (e.g., if you purchased Office 2007 and want Office 2010 instead, you must purchase it separately).
