Using Oncourse Assignments 2, how can I view an assignment as it will look to participants?

For instructions for the original Assignments tool, see Assignments.

Note: To complete these procedures, you must be assigned a role having the necessary permissions. To determine your role, follow the directions in Participant roles. To view a list of permissions associated with a given role, see Permissions, roles, and tools. For a basic understanding of roles and permissions, see Permissions and roles: Overview.

You can see how an assignment you created will look to site participants who access it, either before or after it's been posted.

Before posting

  1. Create an assignment or select an existing assignment to revise. See Adding, editing, or removing an assignment in Assignments 2.

  2. Click Preview as Student.

After posting

  1. If you are not already in the tool, from the menubar, click Assignments 2.

  2. In the menubar, click Enter student view. This will show you the assignment list as it appears to students or other site participants.

  3. If you want to work through an assignment and submit it as a student would, click View Details and Submit beneath the assignment.

  4. To leave student view, in the menubar, click Exit student view.
