ARCHIVED: At IU, after installing Adobe CS4, how do I register for a free trial of lynda.com?

At Indiana University, after registering your Adobe Creative Suite 4 (CS4) software, you should receive email about free benefits for registration (e.g., a 31-day trial at lynda.com). If you do not receive this email, the reason is likely because you opted out of email communication from Adobe. If you want to receive email about benefits and special offers, while registering your CS4 software, when prompted to confirm whether you want to receive email communication from Adobe, check yes. If you do not check yes, but later decide you want the free lynda.com trial, you will first need your Adobe product key.

You can find the product keys and serial numbers for software you've downloaded from IUware at Serial Numbers/Product Keys (requires authentication).

After you find your CS4 product key, to activate your 31-day trial at lynda.com:

  1. Visit lynda.com's Adobe Registration Incentive page.

  2. From the drop-down menu after "Already a lynda.com member?", answer yes or no.

If you choose yes, you will need to enter your lynda.com username, password, and your Adobe product key. Click continue.

If you choose no, you will need to first fill in the form to register with lynda.com.

Once you have completed the form, click continue, and then enter your Adobe product key.
