At IU, how can I acquire Identity Finder, and which editions are available?

At Indiana University, two versions of Identity Finder are available:

For more information on each version of Identity Finder, see the Identity Finder Feature List.

Identity Finder Enterprise Edition

Identity Finder Enterprise Edition is available only to IU faculty and staff for use on IU-owned computers. You can download the appropriate version of Identity Finder Enterprise Edition from IUware:

To make sure you are following Indiana University and local policies and procedures, if you are IU faculty or staff, consult with your local support provider (LSP) or computer administrator before installing Identity Finder on any IU-owned workstations.

For help installing and upgrading Identity Finder, see At IU, how do I install and upgrade Identity Finder?

If you need support for Identity Finder, the program contains a comprehensive help system. You can also visit Identity Finder Enterprise Support, which offers a searchable online help system and downloadable help files, or send email to  support@identityfinder.com .

  1. Visit the appropriate Identity Finder Home Edition page:

  2. On the "Secure Checkout" page, select Student or Faculty/Staff as appropriate from the drop-down menu, and then fill in your first name, last name, and IU email address. Click Continue.

Note: You need to provide a valid IU email account to receive a license key from Identity Finder.

  3. On the next page, Identity Finder Home Edition should already be selected. Click Continue.

  4. Review the order and user information on the last page, and then click Submit Order.

After you submit your order, you will receive an email message containing an activation key and a direct link to download Identity Finder Home Edition.
