ARCHIVED: For TeraGrid users, how much storage space is available on Big Red?
Big Red home directories
(/N/u/username/BigRed) have disk quotas of 10 GB per
user.
Scratch disk space is available locally in /scratch
(67 GB). Files in /scratch are automatically deleted once
they are 14 days old.
Each Big Red user has dedicated scratch space on the Data
Capacitor at /N/dc/scratch/username . The Data
Capacitor behaves like any other disk device on Big Red. If you have
an account on Big Red, you can access
/N/dc/scratch. Access to /N/dc/projects
requires an allocation. Files in scratch space may be purged after 14
days.
An additional 5 TB of replicated archival space is available on Indiana University's HPSS storage system. To obtain an account, see ARCHIVED: On the TeraGrid, how do I request HPSS space at IU?
