About Turning Technologies ResponseWare Web

What is ResponseWare Web?

ResponseWare Web is an application that allows you to use any web browser to respond to questions posed by your instructor and immediately transfers your answers to the instructor's computer. With ResponseWare Web, you can use your laptop or mobile device in place of a student response device (clicker). For more information, see At IU, what options exist for student response devices?

Can I use ResponseWare Web?

Before buying a ResponseWare Web license, consider the following:

  • Does your instructor allow ResponseWare as an option for the class? The instructor needs to allow ResponseWare polling access to the presentation.
  • Do you have a compatible device? These include the following:
    • iPhone
    • BlackBerry
    • Windows Mobile device
    • computer with a web browser (that will be available to you in class)
  • Do you have an unlimited data plan for your phone or mobile device? Neither Indiana University nor Turning Technologies is responsible for usage charges.
  • Do you have connectivity in the classroom? Test your device to make sure you have reliable coverage in every location you'll need it.
  • Does your device support AJAX, JavaScript, and HTTP requests? Test your device to make sure it displays information as intended.
