Personal laptop storage and charging at IUB and IUPUI

Laptop lockers are available for short-term laptop storage in the Student Technology Centers (STCs) at the following locations:

  • Indiana University Bloomington: Thirty lockers are available on the west end of the Indiana Memorial Union (IMU) mezzanine (see About the STC in the Indiana Memorial Union).

  • IUPUI: Thirty lockers are available in the Campus Center at the west end of the food court.

Each locker is equipped with a power outlet for charging your laptop. You can secure lockers with a user-selectable three-digit combination.

Lockers are available on a first-come, first-served basis; you cannot reserve one. Lockers are intended for short-term storage of laptops only, and use of this storage is at your own risk.

Be sure to remember your locker combination. If you forget your locker combination, you must provide a picture ID and demonstrate that you own the items inside the locker before they will be turned over to you. It will also be helpful to know the make, model, and serial number of your laptop. Follow the appropriate instructions below:

  • IUB: Either speak to an on-site consultant or call 812-855-3802 from the locker location (Monday-Friday 9am-4pm) for assistance.

  • IUPUI: Call 317-274-0779 Monday-Friday 9am-4pm for assistance and specify that you are requesting to unlock the laptop charging lockers. Lockers will be unlocked only during the hours of Monday-Friday 9am-4pm.
