On XSEDE, what is Nautilus (NICS)?

On the Extreme Science and Engineering Discovery Environment (XSEDE), Nautilus (nautilus.nics.teragrid.org) is the SG Altix UV 1000 visualization and data analysis system at the National Institute for Computational Sciences (NICS). Nautilus serves as the central hub of the NICS Remote Data Analysis and Visualization Center (RDAV). Additionally, the system provides a wide range of software tools for data analysis, visualization, and workflow management.

For system specifications and user documentation, see the Nautilus user guide.

Note: Access to Nautilus requires the use of an RSA One Time Password (OTP) token, which generates a one-time password. If you have an XSEDE allocation on Nautilus, you will receive your token in the mail after you have activated your account and verified your user information. You cannot use your XSEDE-wide password to access Nautilus.

For more about XSEDE compute, advanced visualization, storage, and special purpose systems, see the Resources Overview and Resource Monitor. For scheduled maintenance windows, outages, and other announcements related to XSEDE digital services, see User News.
