ARCHIVED: In Oncourse Gradebook, what is the default grade scale?

This content has been archived, and is no longer maintained by Indiana University. Information here may no longer be accurate, and links may no longer be available or reliable.
Important:
Oncourse is retired. For details, see ARCHIVED: About the Oncourse retirement.

For calculated course grades, Gradebook uses the following scale by default. To change the grade scale, see ARCHIVED: Changing the grade entry, type, and scale in Gradebook.

Notes:

  • Indiana University does not have an official grade scale.
  • Certain academic units, such as the IU School of Medicine, have elected to use an alternate grade scale in Oncourse.
  • This grade scale is the default for all sites created on or after June 3, 2010. However, if you import Gradebook content from a site created prior to this date, the grade scale in the previous site will override this default. If you did not change the grade scale in that site, it will be the previous default scale.
