About call delegation
In Skype for Business/Lync, you can designate one or more people (e.g., administrative assistants or receptionists) to answer calls for you. When a delegate answers, you are notified that the call has been answered, along with the name of the person who answered it. Both you and your delegates need to be configured for UniCom Enterprise Voice.
Delegates can:
- Screen your calls, transferring the calls when appropriate
- Create or join a voice conference on your behalf
- Listen to your voice mail and respond, if you share an Outlook Inbox with the delegate
Further, a delegate who uses UniCom Attendant can:
- Place a person-to-person call on your behalf
- Initiate a conference call on your behalf
- Consult with you before transferring a call
