ARCHIVED: Known issues and changes for the implementation of SharePoint 2010 at IU
The SharePoint on-premises service is being replaced by SharePoint Online, available since July 2016. For more, see ARCHIVED: About the SharePoint retirement.
- If you are a SharePoint site owner whose site has been disabled, you can visit SharePoint Standard Farm Migration to request an extension/re-enable. SharePoint will be permanently disabled no later than June 2, 2017; most sites should have migrated to SharePoint Online by March 31, 2017. Sites scheduled to be disabled on March 31 were disabled on April 3, 2017.

A compatibility issue has been identified with Nintex Workflows and Internet Explorer 10. A solution is currently being worked on, but is not available. A temporary workaround for Internet Explorer 10 users is as follows:

Unusually slow performance when mapping a drive to a SharePoint site, copying or moving files using Windows Explorer, or publishing files to a document library (such as from Excel). To fix, adjust connection settings in Internet Explorer. |

Issues with Chrome and Firefox in Mac OS X |
By default, Firefox and Chrome cannot successfully authenticate to the SharePoint servers. Firefox can authenticate using Kerberos, but it must be configured properly and only works from IU networks. UITS recommends Safari for Mac OS X users. |

Trouble mapping drives in Mac OS X |
In Mac OS X, mapping a drive using does not function properly. Users can read and access files, but they cannot create new files.As a workaround, use the SharePoint web interface (with Safari) or Microsoft Document Connection (installed with Office 2011) to manage files and directories. |

Issues with Silverlight features on iPhone |
Some functions, features, and multimedia content are unavailable unless the Silverlight plug-in is installed. Silverlight is only supported on Windows and Mac OS X. Moonlight is an option for Linux users. Silverlight Mobile is available only for Windows Phone 7. |
