ARCHIVED: Connecting to the IU VPN on an Android device
Note: Although these instructions are accurate, UITS recommends that you instead follow the steps in Connect to IU's SSL VPN with Ivanti Secure Access (formerly Pulse Secure) from an Android mobile device. The setup is much easier.
At Indiana University Bloomington, IUPUI, and IU East, UITS strongly recommends you use the IU Secure wireless network, which does not require VPN. For instructions, see Connect to the IU wireless network in Android OS.
At other IU campuses, to access web sites and services through the IU Wireless SSID, use a VPN connection; see About the IU VPN. Unencrypted access to some IU web sites is available without the use of VPN, but UITS strongly recommends VPN for added security and full access to IU resources.
