ARCHIVED: Why does my SafeWord card no longer work?
Starting in June, 2011, Indiana University no longer uses SafeWord cards for authentication to sensitive data. Instead, you will need an OTP (One Time Password) token. See What is OTP (One Time Password), and how does it work? or How do I get an OTP (One Time Password) token?
Note: Certain legacy systems will continue to use SafeWord authentication after other IU systems have been migrated to OTP. Users of these systems have been contacted by the Support Center and Identity Management Systems directly regarding the migration, and should not return their SafeWord cards at this time.
For help with OTP, email
contact your campus Support Center.
